The thing you need to understand about Clive Palmer is, he’s not that wealthy. Not for a bloke who wants to build dinosaur parks, reboot the Titanic, and tear down the entire architecture of border controls currently protecting the healthy half of the country from the filthy, infected corona zombies scratching at the border gates of QLD and WA.
I look forward to his ignoble end when you can really let loose on him. I am picturing something similar to John Oliver's music extravaganza to another coal baron Bob Murray 'Eat Shit Bob' https://youtu.be/UN8bJb8biZU?t=1259
Clive is big on announcements, but very light on deliverables. His dinosaurs all caught fire and his car museum was full of the crappiest rusting classics that literally had wallpaper over the cracks. Not sure what his long game is with the Coolum resort, but I live down the road and it's been a very very long time since I've seen anyone playing golf there. He's a Trump wannabe though even less classy, if that's possible. Here's hoping 2021 sees him finally doing time.
Quite striking how much the gelatin golem has in common with the orange golem. Going forward we need first trimester golem screening, or retrospective abortion.
I keep on wondering if Clive will be the next Skase or Bond or Laurie Connell (anyone remember them?) at the very least go the same way that Nathan Tinkler went quietly bankrupt and off to Singapore.
The thing is if nobody pays him or at least stands up to his demands and fights back. I wonder how long he will last. I suspect he will fold eventually - may be due to the financial fallout from the COVID 19 recession we are going to have or maybe if the Chinese and the Indians decide not to buy coal either full stop or not from us (they could either up their renewables and or source coal from Africa or other parts of the world).
Either way JB keep him in QLD. I remember watching his Roller going up Northbourne Avenue when he was Senator Palmer. His 80 Million bought Smoko the election - maybe the Libs should give Clive some award after all now that the ALP have gone back to navel gazing and are having a quiet civil war in the background.

Surprised to see the 'Pest' story on the front page of a Seven West Media publication. They didn't go easy on Clive The Hutt.
No matter how you vote / what papers you read, Palmer has certainly wobbled, slobbered and stumbled through the court of public opinion in WA!
