Has the Ben Roberts-Smith one finished yet? I am waiting on seeing the final washup on that one. Only wish the verdict could bankrupt channel 7's oligarch who was paying for it.

Waiting for the netflix mini series for that one.

I know someone who served with ol Smith, way back when just before he got the VC, they described him as a 'nice bloke on telly, but a huge terrifying bastard in person.' That description surprised me at the time, now I kind of get it.

Nothing worse than mouthy peasants with little to lose, getting all lawyered up.

Still could be worse for the corporate aristocracy, those mouthy peasants could be sharpening their guillotines instead.

Should Lachlan who majored in Philosophy and then honed his business skills with One Tel and Network 10 misfortunes find himself in any witness box he's got some great role models to follow. Alan Bond and his father were stars with their Oscar performances of early onset dementia.

This is a lovely piece. I wish nothing but infamy and ignominy upon those who perpetrated the January 6th debacle.

Lachlan oozes Connor Roy vibes. So bent out of shape at being challenged by agents of the underclass, his ubermensch confidence has him donning his armour and riding into battle with a phalanx of lawyers. Confidence that, as you say, may evaporate on the witness stand. Personally I can’t wait.
