I've seen people say much worse things about Dutton on Twitter, yet he chose to sue over *this* one. I wonder what that says about the other accusations.

A new word (bawcock) and a new moniker (Matey Potaty): what's not to like?

Brilliant analysis JB. It's good to think you're a man of straw. And Dutto's defence makes him look like a frickin snowflake. I say we vote the kunt out - that 'pay my defamation costs' stunt alone should cost him his job.

National Action and Dutton in the same article who would have thunk it?

From murder stiffies, to the Vegemite Reich and Shakespeare. Love it. Look forward to the flushing of these unflushable turds.

It isn't just parliament where the trolls will use the legal system to shut a person up. The public service is rife with a similar practice. Two years ago I gently suggested to a superior that several of her workplace practices were serious breaches of our code of conduct. After several attempts to have the matter addressed, the colleague complained to a senior director (who is also a close personal friend) that I was harassing her and then sought an AVO. Two years on, I am without a job after being presented with a choice - resign or go to court. I have now lost my livelihood & my career after being blacklisted.

Good times. Noodle salad.

Why am I not surprised that people like Potato and Scummo see themselves as apart from and above the average punter, and thus deserving of special treatment.

The demise of the Fourth Estate is commensurate with the rise of the fascist slime. If only we had a justice system instead of a legal system.

Lovely demolition of the warmonger. It ought to be an article of the right to be a politician that should they be able to take action for libel - any win is capped at a certain low amount - none of which is awarded to them personally but goes directly to the nation's treasury. Retrospective assessment as part of law, too, to take to court any politician found to have abused their right to attack and sue a citizen/resident. I think Abbott, Costello, Hockey, others, would have to return their own "winnings" from playing the legal game as a way to double, triple - more - their already way-too-high salaries!
