It would be hard to believe Scott Morrison thought he could get away with this shit, if only he hadn’t been getting away with it for years. The allegations against his Attorney General are horrific, and the thrashing political death spasms of his Defence Minister a darkening wonder to behold, but there are other issues worth keeping in mind.
Dhanya MANI this morning on an interview I listened to called for do-nothing (my words) Morrison to resign. He is no longer fit to be PM of this country - nor of course the flawed but supremely entitled Charles Christian Porter - nor any of the other enablers - Frydenberg, Hunt, Birmingham, Dutton et al. I've noted increasingly the term "rule-of-law" spilling from apologist lips - the same side which carefully wrote and tweaked that "law" out from under which they can easily wriggle - never having read the charges of course but just knowing they didn't do whatever it was they were accused of doing! Bah, humbuggery! Yes, Ms Higgins, Grace Tame - Ms Mani - other young women of courage - they should all be cast in bronze and placed up the steps or at whatever entrance way is most used by MPs in Canberra - and at any other of the State Parliaments, too - this is an Australian-wide concern! I am constantly amazed that women, after the centuries of shit that have been forced to put up with for a myriad of bullshit excuses are only asking for equality... and not payback.
I am dreading the shitfuckkery that this government will try to pass off on Monday being International Women's Day. I mean we already had a couple of events with the edifying spectacle of male politicians speaking, can only imagine what they have in store for Monday.
