I like to give value to those support me, and so I do lock away some of the best of ASB, just for them. But sometimes I don’t make the best judgments about where that line should fall.
Yesterday’s column about the murders by the Australian SAS of unarmed Afghan civilians was darker than usual and not at all as funny. Because it’s not a funny subject.
But it is a subject we should all be thinking about, because like it or not those murders were carried out in our name.
So after a number of requests (including messages from a couple of people within the Defence community) I’ve decided to let the column run free.
Mate, you could give all your pieces away free, I'd still subscribe to make sure they kept coming. As great as the funny ones are, it's the thinky pieces that really impact.

Did I mention you're best writer I ever come across:)
Yup. That needs wide circulation. Thanks.
